Global Food Insecurity

Our video finally broke over the 301+ mark!  We still need views from as many different locations/IP addresses as possible.  Once Youtube is certain that the views our video is accumulating are real, the play counter will start counting up again.  Watching and refreshing over and over again will not accumulate views on Youtube.  Please help spread the word that GMOs are safe!

Here’s a direct link for the video:

2.  On your blog tell me what country you have chosen to research

Define a typical subsistence farm family or poor urban family in your country:

  • family size and composition, diet, education and access to health care;
  • farm size, crops grown, and agricultural practices (if researching a farm family) or employment andwage, and where they typically purchase food and have access to private or community gardens (if researching an urban family); and
  • major barriers to improving agricultural productivity, employment and earning a living wage, and gaining access to food markets and adequate nutrition.

Provide links and other resources to where you found your information.  Please place the link immediately following the information that you are stating on your blog.  For instance:

The three poorest counties in the United states are located in South Dakota.  They include Ziebach, Todd, and Shannon Counties.

Let me be clear: Quality work is required on this project.  There will be a few days that build on what you’ve researched on prior days.  This is not an assignment that you can just jot down two or three lines and be successful.  Write complete sentences, document where your information came from.  Keep up! No copying and pasting from the internet.  Put things in your own words!

This portion is due on Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 8:30 a.m.
